I attended Royal Bolton Hospital on 6th April after being brought in by ambulance in extreme pain, unable to move, and having been given morphine by paramedics.
What followed was completely unacceptable. I was left for hours drifting in and out of consciousness, dizzy, vomiting, and barely able to hold my head up, with little to no monitoring despite the medication I had received. I was repeatedly asked the same questions by different staff, with no clear communication or proper record of my condition.
Basic standards were not met — I was asked to lie on a bed that had not been cleaned, and at times staff appeared more focused on personal conversations than patient care. Even while I was being physically sick, I felt ignored.
I received no clear answers, no continuity of care, and no effective treatment. I ultimately felt so unsafe and neglected that I had no choice but to self-discharge while still seriously unwell.
This experience was distressing, unprofessional, and potentially dangerous. I have completely lost confidence in the care provided here and would not feel safe returning.
