The next day, I faced a technical problem with my mouse during the listening, reading, and writing sections. I promptly notified the invigilator and followed her guidance. Even though I indicated I could quickly resolve the issue and preferred to stay on the platform, I was instructed to exit the test environment. I managed to fix the problem within minutes, yet my test was cancelled, and I was not allowed to continue. It’s perplexing how prolonged technical difficulties on the examiner’s part were tolerated, while a minor issue on my side—resolved swiftly and in full compliance with instructions—led to cancellation. This raises significant concerns about the consistency of the process and whether candidates can trust the guidance provided during the test.
