Update as of 3:02 PM (CST), Thursday, June 8, 2023:Even though my electrician had to reschedule the work order for next Monday (since the disconnect wasn’t completed as I was promised it would be by the Entergy CSR I spoke to at 5:20 PM on Tuesday, June 6th, who may have encountered some unknown issue that prevented her from completing and/or submitting my request, after saying that it HAD been completed), Entergy’s office in Malvern, Arkansas (my property has a Malvern address) called me to advise that they were taking command of the situation and would guarantee that my new temporary service disconnect would occur next Monday morning, right before the electrician is scheduled toI be there. On the call was an agent for the Malvern office, her supervisor and their engineer that was already assisting me with my project. And, they also said that they would search for a record and/or recording of Tuesday evening’s phone call. Maybe it wasn’t incompetence. Maybe said previous agent didn’t lie to me. But, something happened that prevented the filing of my original disconnect request. In either event, I’m now satisfied.MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT: Entergy Arkansas failed to complete a temporary disconnect request, even though I filed it two days before the order was requested. When it wasn’t done, I called Entergy customer service, only to find out that said request was never filed. And, customer service told me that they couldn’t go back to a recording of said phone call. When I asked why, the agent just disconnected the call. And, no survey was available at the end of said phone call. So, I couldn’t leave a negative review on said agent. Typical. Entergy agents are incompetent, rude, condescending, dishonest and lazy. So, my electrician is charging me a fee for showing up, even though they couldn’t complete the work they were scheduled to perform, since Entergy dropped the ball. And, my electrician’s dispatcher even told me that their company has the same problem with Entergy. They, too, have filed multiple temporary service disconnect requests that are never completed. Unfortunately, Entergy doesn’t care because there is no way to hold them accountable for such incompetence.
