Excessive charges for non-existent damage.

I had a terrible experience with the service at the airport and urge others to be very cautious. After returning the vehicle, I was charged €2,094.10 for three scratches on the wheel rims — damage I am convinced I did not cause. The car was only driven on highways and main roads, parked at my hotel for 10 days, and then back to the airport. I never parked near curbs or anywhere that could cause rim damage. Anyone who drives knows this kind of damage occurs only by scraping a curb — which simply didn’t happen. To make matters worse, my contract excess was €1,050, yet they charged my card double that amount. I sent several emails with no response. The explanation and documentation were sent in another language, despite my booking and communication being in English. The claimed amount is completely unjustifiable for minor cosmetic scratches. This feels like a classic post-rental damage scam, targeting customers after the vehicle is returned. Instead of providing clear proof or reasonable communication, they resorted to intimidation and inflated charges. This is not how a reputable rental service should operate. I plan to escalate the issue, but I am being ignored. I will never rent from this service again and strongly advise others to photograph every part of the vehicle, especially the wheels, before leaving — or better yet, choose a different rental service altogether.
