We looked at this POS system for our retail clothing shop. Spoke with a salesperson who was in Australia, who told us it would do everything that we asked it to do. We worked out a price for the equipment and the monthly fee and signed up for 12 months. We had issues with moving our inventory across from the current system due to it being really old and had to do it one item at a time. Most of the items we buy for the shop don't come with barcodes so we decided to generate labels for all of items to keep them uniform. We found out that putting new items into the system even after the bulk import had been done is very time consuming. You have to put each item into the system, when the order is delivered, we have to search for each item and change the stock numbers to match what we had received. Then go to the generate labels section, find each item and print each items label individually. This is so time consuming and is not how other systems that we have researched work. Other systems allow you to input the items into the system, put in an order to the suppliers, when the order is received, from one screen select how many items from the order were actually received and then click print labels, which would print the labels for the items that were received, without having to do any searching. This saved around 40 mins per order for us.
To add to that, they don't do LayBy/Lay Away in the system natively. This was one of the requirements that I spoke to the sales person about.
We still haven't started using the system as the problems with layby and the implementation of stock and printing labels still haven't been resolved. They now have been charging us an inactivity fee of $69 every month. Which only now after 5 months of charging it and me ringing every month to have it removed, they tell me that I should just put $1 through the eftpos to cancel out the Inactivity fee. We have been keeping the stock levels up to date for months so we don't have to do another stocktake, but we are done and are trying to cancel. I have tried to cancel now for over a week and every day I ring back they tell me the cancellation team is not available. I try and fill out the cancellation form through their website and that is trying to charge an extra $789 to cancel.
Don't sign up to this POS system if you are going to use it for retail. It is built more for Hospitality. The equipment might be cheap to purchase, but its locked down to their POS software and becomes useless if its not used as a POS.
