I am an Australian living abroad and had to complete my 2023-2024 tax return for 2 months of living in Australia that year, and to also pay back some of my compulsory HECS payments. They gave me a bill of $6,500+ AUD... I thought this was wrong - questioned them beyond measure and in the end I paid it as I was just overwhelmed and confused. I then received ANOTHER bill of $2,500 AUD. I finally contact an actual accountant who has since amended it to me owing $600 AUD for HECs and that is IT! How the hell was it THOUSANDS different?Same with my sister - her return was only $28 but when she wouldn't give up questioning them they then said it was their error and she should receive $1,000... which again, another accountant has said it should be more. I guess for such a cheap service, what can we expect? DON'T USE. Just pay for a proper service to receive legitimate and quality services.
