My wife and I are currently visiting Egypt for a month. WiFi at the apartment and in the city isn't the most reliable and roaming charges for New Zealand SIM cards are too expensive. We bought Etisalat SIM cards for 115 EGP each. They came with a ridiculous number of txts and phone calls and 3.5 GB of data! 4G speed is great in Cairo. I can also use my phone as a hotspot for my laptop to do work in the morning. The Etisalat app is also good. We are very happy with our purchase.
