I am extremely disappointed and upset with the quality of a pair of shoes I recently purchased from Christian Louboutin — a brand that claims to represent luxury, craftsmanship, and durability. I wore these shoes for just two hours during a house party, held entirely indoors, with no gravel, uneven surfaces, or hard flooring. Despite this minimal and careful use, the soles are already badly damaged, which is completely unacceptable for a product from such a high-end Italian brand. I’ve attached photos clearly showing the condition of the shoes after this very short wear. For a brand of this reputation and price point, I expected far better quality.Me - I am requesting a full refund or an immediate replacement — whichever can be processed as soon as possible. Please resolve this issue promptly, as I really don’t want to escalate this further by taking it to social media or lodging a complaint with the Australian Consumer Court. I do sincerely apologize for any disappointment; however, it is normal for the shoes to appear this way after wear. It is traditional for hand-crafted shoes to be made with leather soles, and our trademark red sole is painted on top of the leather so to follow the story of how Christian conceived this symbolic trademark. It is natural for the sole of a shoe to become worn on rough surfaces such as pavement, tile, or hardwood floors. While this is not noticeable on most shoes because the soles are black, it is visible on Louboutin shoes because of the contrast to the red color. The exposed portion of the sole will always stay red as this part does not come in contact with the ground. This will not affect the wear of the shoes. I would suggest continuing to wear your shoes as is, as I believe you do not need to alter your shoes. Please note, to maintain the red lacquer as long as possible, I would suggest avoiding wet surfaces in the first few wears, if possible, as this can cause the red lacquer to bubble and peel.Note - No where in the website mentioned that sole are painted
