I'm not keen on complaining but hoping this review will save others some money and disappointment. This spa could be lovely but it's dragged down by the poor, unresponsive staff and a terrible experience overall. The spa area is tiny. The hot tub is ok but not that hot. The sauna is quite decent. But that's it. A few other rooms with nothing in them. The women's changing room opens out straight into the main corridor - the "privacy" curtain behind the door does nothing and was open half of the tlme. The front desk were just really poor as were the therapists - I wasn't convinced mine was even qualified, as my treatment was so poor. The therapist kept stopping throughout what felt like a made up massage. Weird techniques that just didn't feel right compared to the many massages I've had at Champneys etc.I spotted two other therapists in what seemed to be jogging bottoms who were surly, asking a nice couple repeatedly what their names were like they were stupid - awful! My package, which was a birthday present, included a glass of prosecco. I asked for juice instead and the receptionist just stood in front of me saying "NO JUICE, NO JUICE". It turned out they had a problem with substituting a £3 glass of juice for a £7 glass of prosecco. I got some in the end but by then I was already feeling unwelcome. When I asked about the "self-administered" mask, I was told I'd be given it after my massage. It was not - but by that time I just wanted to leave. The one thing you really need in a spa is a nice, professional team. I have no idea how this place is still open!
