Tried the samples last month and subscribed for the wild venison and lamb for our Japanese Akita puppy that loves it so much !Also really like the big range of treats to choose as ours is a bit sensitive with the roos at the moment, will try again once she is growing a bit more.Thank you for the extra treat--she enjoys it heaps.
Eureka recently updated their website design. The whole purpose is to avoid people cancel their payment option. You couldn't find anywhere to cancel your membership. The other thing is Eureka doesn't have transparent ingredients. You think they provide healthy options. However, if you ever try any of their food or treat, you notice that they add a lot of salt. I was shocked to try by myself today. It is too salty even if it is human food. Don't need to mention if its for dogs.
Excellent and well balanced food. Had my vet review the product ingredients and he agreed, very well balanced. My dog (English Mastiff) loves it. The food calculator is inaccurate for giant breeds however. As the calculator does not handle a 120 kg dog , a certain amount of guess work is required. I use the Eureka 30% mixed with a quality kibble plus tuna which works very well. The treats are also brilliant
Richard, it was so nice to meet you at the Meadowbank market on Sunday. So good to see quality Australian dog food and treats being made available. My dog absolutely loved the kangaroo jerky and air dried wild boar free range chicken. He’s a fussy eater so congrats on a great product that provides the health requirements I look for. Looking forward to receiving my online order for the Venison air dried.
I found out about Eureka from the pet food reviews website (which is our bible) when reading up on Ziwipeak, and it's been an absolute game changer with my itchy scratchy dog. Complete turnaround in health and it's very clear how good quality the food is when you look at it. Our dog loves it, and I've never seen her so enthusiastic about her food. Fab Aussie company!!!
The best dry dog food ever, and I have had many dogs in my lifetime. Richard and co. have got it right, it’s nutritious, nothing nasty added and the dog loves it. I add a bit of poached chicken and occasionally rice but it’s really not necessary. The treats are great as well and the new website is a bonus, much easier to navigate.I
For the past couple of years I have been faithfully feeding my dogs another well known and highly regarded brand of 'ancestral' dog food from a neighbouring country. But after steady price increases and patchy supply as of late, I decided to see what else was out there.I was glad to discover that there were several Australian companies making dog food, although most missed the mark in terms of what I was looking for. Once I learned that the food I was feeding my dogs was manufactured by a foreign-owned company, I decided it was time to make the switch.Happily, this was right around the time that Eureka had made some changes to their website and subscription options to make it both more straightforward, more flexible and ultimately more affordable.Sure, it's not cheap choosing to feed my dogs Eureka, but I am a firm believer in food quality and the effect that it has on the quality of life and health of our pets. My dogs love eating Eureka and it ticks so many boxes in terms of high nutritional value, high quality ingredients, Australian Made & Owned with great customer service and a little bonus is a treat for the dogs with every delivery!I will always preferentially buy from Australian companies - particularly small businesses - as I believe that it is crucial to support our local economy, maintain our manufacturing capability and keep Aussies employed, rather than MAYBE saving a couple of dollars here and there and sending profits overseas. The way you choose to spend your money does have a direct impact on the health of our country!Avoid the brands that are owned and manufactured by multinational conglomerates under dubious conditions whose priority is not the wellbeing of your beloved pets, but on maximising profits. Be especially wary of any of the "vet endorsed" brands of food also, as there is so often a financial incentive behind these endorsements. And finally, to Eureka Pet Co. - please don't sell out to some overseas conglomerate! We need more companies like yours to stay in Australian hands.
