We recently suffered a robbery on the first night of our stay in a resort in Spain. Someone entered the apartment through a patio door which had been left unlocked by a previous occupant or a housekeeper. My wife’s handbag was stolen with her documents and a total of 300€. Europ assistance rejected our claim on the basis that their policy does not cover money or documents and as I could not provide a receipt for the handbag they would not cover that either. I eventually got a receipt and when I forwarded that, they refused it on the basis that there was no forced entry. What is the point of insuring with this companyEurop Assistance replied to my review by referring me to exactly the same customer services department that rejected my claim!
