Review – Europcar Nice AirportMy husband and I rented a car from Europcar at Nice Airport, France, for 6 days, and our experience with the personnel was very disappointing.When we asked about insurance pricing, we were given three different prices, ranging from $380 to $170, by two different employees and their manager. It was clear that the staff themselves did not know the correct pricing and were asking each other for answers. At one point, the manager wrote a number on a piece of paper and said it was the correct price, only to be immediately corrected by another employee who announced a different amount.When we asked for the insurance quote to be printed and provided to us in writing, our request was refused. The manager then told us she would no longer serve us.As a result, we took the car keys and left without insurance. This was particularly concerning, as this was approximately our 25th car rental at Nice Airport, and the first time we have ever rented a car without purchasing insurance.What made the situation worse was the rude and dismissive attitude of the staff when we asked reasonable questions. Instead of clarifying the pricing or helping us understand our options, the interaction felt unprofessional and uncomfortable.Transparent pricing and respectful customer service are basic expectations, especially for international travelers. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those standards.
