I recently rented a car and was shocked to find an additional charge of €114.89 for 'low fuel on return.' This charge is completely inaccurate as I returned the car with a full tank after filling up nearby. The company claimed the car had only 25% fuel upon return, but I drove only 216 km during the rental. Their claims don’t add up. To make matters worse, they provided no valid evidence for their assertion. The photo they attached shows no clear indication of low fuel. Charging customers without proof is unacceptable and feels like an attempt to unjustly bill for fuel that was never missing.
