I contacted the Danish EuropCar department and booked a car for a holiday near Naples, Italy. Everything was fine and I got a nice treatment. In Naples I got the car which was very dirty on the outside which ment it was very difficult to identify all the scratches listed on the contract - 16 point or something like that. Well...all cars in Italy have plenty of scratches. This one included - lots of them and BIG ones. The car was fine to drive in . Just 500 meters before I returned the car I filled the tank to full. Nonethelesss when I got the car inspected the EuropCar guy gave it the remark 'not full tank'. WHAT!!! He showed me that the fuel indicator missed 1 mm or something like that, so I accepted the remark thinking 'all right - maybe they can squezee in 0,5 Liter - no harm done'. The day after (at home in Denmark) when I got the mail with the final bill I realised EuropCar had charged me for 7 Liters = 28 Euro!!!. No way that tank could have had 7 more Liters in it!!! My guess is that someone at EuropCar put 6.5 Liters in his/hers own car and charged the customer. NOT OK.
