I traveled in a budget shared sleeper compartment from one city to another and back. I love night trains and know that the rolling stock is quite dated. The tickets were reasonably priced, booking was easy, and the toilets were functional and clean. The compartment wasn’t pristine on the way out but was fine on the return trip. We ordered coffee in the morning on the return, which arrived quickly and was very welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful. The budget options are basic, so for more comfort, it might be worth considering the slightly pricier alternatives. I’m also intrigued that the company operates as a cooperative rather than a state-run service. I’ll definitely use their trains again, especially when the new line opens.
