I saw an ad for EvoComfort ortho boots on Facebook. I went to their website directly and it looked promising. I recall doing a Google search to check if the company was legit or not, and I thought for some reason it was. Even though after the purchase when I repeated that search it came up with multiple negative reviews. So I purchased the correct size, the high tech traction soles. There were 2 overly kind and welcoming emails once the order was placed. When the product arrived, it was extremely light weight. When I tried it one, the soles were rock hard and concave with no arch support and my toes were painfully cramped. I waited a few weeks to try them out with the first snow/ice storm. Disappointed, their traction was same or slightly worse than the boots I currently wear. I would NOT be comfortable walking in them on the slippery snow/ice surface, thus I opted to use my current boots which gave some traction and safety. When I emailed EvoComfort I got a fast upbeat reply from "Mia" offering an immediate exchange to a different size. I declined as the quality, traction and fit were not satisfactory (as I stated in the initial email). I asked for a refund and was told that this request would have to go to another rep. 24+ hrs later "Lee Cherry" emailed offering a 30% refund and no need to return the boots. I replied this was contrary to the return policy on their website which offered full refund with product returned in good condition in the orig. packing. Next email offered a 70% refund saying this was the most generous offer available. I realized I was dealing with a scam company which doesn't stand by their product, customer satisfaction, and refund policy stated on their website. I accepted their 70% refund knowing I was only recouping part of my purchase price. They sent a customer service survey so I let them have the truth of what I thought about their false refund policy. Shortly thereafter "Lee Cherry" sends a final email offering a full refund! Go figure. So this company seems to honor their posted refund policy only for customers that force the issue or complain. It's no wonder they rather send you another size shoe rather than grant a refund. The product is sub-standard and no better on snow/ice than a regular high quality boot of another brand. Do not do business with this company. A mistake I learned from .
