I set up autopay because I was in and out of hospital with a very poorly relative and autopay would mean one less thing to worry about. I’m not a stupid person, I’ve set up autopay on other apps and websites that I use regularly and they have been fine.I’ve just received a fine for not paying my parking. I’ve gone through the official appeals process, but it’s stress and worry I really didn’t need.The system needs improving so that if someone has set up autopay it actually auto pays.Update: 7th July. I went through the appeals process, sent evidence that I had set up autopay but it wasn’t accepted so I’ve had to pay the fine. I also went through the Evology help centre as suggested below, and they said the car park I used doesn’t accept autopay. They have cameras so they can see what time I went in and out, they have my car registration and bank details, so there’s absolutely no reason for them not to accept autopay. Nowhere in the set up did I see I need to check a list to see if the car park actually accepted autopay. It may have been hidden somewhere in the small print, but it really just shows this is an unscrupulous company scamming people. I’ve rarely been more disgusted with a company.No wonder they have been through a rebrand, probably to try and get away from all the bad reviews with the previous name.
