According to the Evri website, parcels up to 15kg and 120cm can be dropped off at local parcel shops. In practice, this is simply untrue. I tried two different Evri parcel shops and both refused to accept the parcel. One shop was massive in size, the other was medium size with both plenty of space.
There is no easy way to inform Evri about this problem. Their online chatbot is useless — it doesn’t offer any option to report parcel shop refusals, and any attempt to explain the issue in plain English is beyond what the bot can cope with. “Free speech in the age of AI” clearly isn’t something Evri has figured out yet.
Meanwhile, parcel shops appear to be free to make up their own rules, regardless of what Evri advertises online. In the end, I had to cancel the label and pay extra for the collection service.
Misleading information, poor customer support, and a frustrating waste of time.
