I chose Expatrio based on a cashback offer of €69 clearly stated in their email during the application process. The message indicated that the cashback would be received after completing specific steps (opening and activating the blocked account and insurance).
However, after I fulfilled all the required conditions, I was informed that I was not eligible due to an internal deadline (August 1st, 2025), which was never mentioned in the original communication.
From a customer perspective, this is highly misleading. The email created a clear and reasonable expectation that the cashback would be granted upon completion of the stated steps, without any indication of additional eligibility restrictions.
I have contacted customer support and requested escalation, but the responses relied solely on internal policy without addressing the lack of transparency in the original communication.
This experience raises concerns about how promotional information is presented and whether all relevant conditions are clearly disclosed to customers at the time of decision-making.
