For a quick oil change, you can't beat them, especially if you have one of their great coupons. But I would not trust them for any other service. My AC stopped cooling and I asked them to check to see if it needed recharging (hoping beyond hope) or if something else might be wrong (probably). It took them all of 10 minutes to figure out that I had a bigger issue and needed the compressor replaced, and then gave me an estimate. That's fine. Here's the issue; they then charged me for the AC recharge (which obviously was not done) as a diagnostic fee (which most places would have done for free since it was such a quick and easy diagnosis). They did tell me that this charge would be deducted from the bill if/when I had the compressor replaced. Well, I called FOUR other mechanics in the area and got estimates from all of them that were several hundred dollars less than Express, so there was no way I was letting them do the work. The place I ultimately went with charged me about 600 dollars less than Express estimated. So, in the end I paid Express around 150 dollars for doing nothing more than looking at my car for less than 10 minutes and spotting an obvious problem. I'll go back for oil changes, but nothing else. Don't let these guys do anything else to your car.
