I slipped on liquid in Lidl which caused a few months of pain, necessitating physiotherapy. I sent them photos of the spillage, which I had recorded in their accident book, and told them I would settle for £200 which was the cost of the physio. They only offered £50 so I went to Express because I was so irritated with them. I ended up with a settlement of over £2,300 after deductions which, whilst slightly bemused by how stupid Lidl was not to settle with me direct, delighted me.
