This company also trades under the name AuraCarHire, and my experience with them has been extremely disappointing.
I rented a vehicle from them in early December 2025. Rather than placing a temporary hold on my credit card for the security deposit, they deducted £200 outright, stating that it would cover any potential traffic fines, congestion charges or parking tickets. I was informed that this amount would be retained for two months to allow time for any such charges to be processed.
While the two-month holding period was already longer than expected, the more concerning issue is that even after the two months had passed, I did not receive my refund. I have followed up with the company multiple times without resolution.
After informing them that I intended to escalate the matter to my credit card provider, I finally received a response stating that the funds had been refunded. However, I am still waiting for the payment to appear. The company has been unable or unwilling to confirm the exact refund date, and it has been extremely difficult to obtain any clarity from their accounts department, despite being directed there by customer services.
Overall, the lack of transparency and poor communication have been very frustrating not to mention the time I have wasted in chasing them up. Avoid them. They do not deserve your business. Pay £5 extra per day and get your peace of mind with a more established rental operator.
