Everything that could go wrong went wrong. I ordered a piece of the checkered flag in February and paid a hefty delivery fee, which I assumed covered imports or other costs since there were no notes about it during the purchase. I received no updates until I reached out well over a month after the event had ended. My messages were ignored until I threatened to dispute the charge because the delivery time had passed. Eventually, I got a response with an apology, indicating a delay of at least 10 days due to material shortages. Two weeks later, I received a DHL notice asking for an additional $70 to receive the item, which was never mentioned during checkout. When I contacted customer service, they sent a link that was not clear or accessible during the purchase, effectively making it my issue. The final straw was the photo of the flag, which was supposed to include the square I paid a premium for—but it wasn't there at all. There's no evidence that this overpriced square was ever a part of any flag or present at that race. This feels like a scam, and they seem to have no ethical standards. Since they can't provide proof, they just add more fine print to make it all my responsibility.
