I was ill advised to make an application by Sania Mahmood. She did not advise me of the implications of making such an application ie that costs cost be put on me if it failed. Lisa Ivanow then drafted 2 witness statements that although looked persuasive, would never merit me in any case. I was then passed to Haleema Raja who was the one to appear alongside me as my 'Mckenzie Friend'. In the two phone conversations that I had with Haleema prior to the hearing, I felt that she was always talking over me, never allowing me to fully get my points across and never really providing me with any blanket of certainty or advising me on anything. On the day of the hearing, prior to going before the judge, she kept on asking me what my expectations were, what outcome I was expecting and all the while again just talking over me and making me feel even more nervous. I had paid for her so Called expertise and was being provided with none. There was absolutely no firm advice coming from her at all. In the court room I felt very uneasy and asking myself exactly what did I pay her for. I feel that I could have performed much better on my own. Not only was my application dismissed but I have to now pay the other sides costs. This experience has left me very much out of pocket and I will never look to any Mckenzie type help again in the future. My advice to all reading this is, if you are confident then represent yourself or invest in proper legal help but avoid these people that charge a small fortune and deliver absolutely nothing for you!Edited - since Contacting Jeff (as asked to) I have had no response. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS!
