While researching movie showtimes, I reached the checkout page on the platform. I tried to apply a promo for a free 7-day trial that waived convenience fees. After recovering my account and logging in, I found out I wasn't eligible. No issue there, but then the website glitched. As I attempted to scroll, the page refreshed (I was on mobile) and suddenly I was on the purchase confirmation page. The company refused to refund the tickets, despite me contacting them just a minute after this error. They would only refund the amount before fees (which were nearly $8 on three tickets) and insisted on offering credit instead of a full refund. I don't want credit because it's more expensive than buying directly from the theater. I never authorized this transaction. Their representatives kept disconnecting and only repeated the same policy without providing real help. The customer service was absolutely terrible; I never approved the transaction, and it should have been evident when I immediately initiated a support chat after being charged. I never clicked to confirm the purchase and have never encountered a company's website that forced me into a purchase I did not authorize.
