I enlisted Farley Dwek's help to provide an advocate at the CHC assessment for my mother's complex dementia care. Although CHC refused funding, the advocacy was very helpful, opening my eyes to the challenges of the process and how it works. I would have given up at this stage, but Farley Dwek, not satisfied that we had been given a fair hearing, looked into the case in more depth, and then offered to appeal on a no win no fee basis, having resolved that CHC had made a fundamental error in their assessment. The appeal thankfully ended with CHC granting us funding. The whole FD team were great: they gave clear, honest advice as to what I could expect, and pursued our case doggedly from start to finish. I can say categorically we would not have succeeded without Farley Dwek's involvement. I'm grateful in particular to Debbie Payton - who put the appeal case documents together - and to Jonathan Dwek who saw through the final hurdle of actually getting hold of the funds.
