I should have came here first and saved myself this frustration these past couple months. Absolutely terrible company. Ryan Reader is the most insulting, rude and unprofessional agent I’ve ever worked with. Our mortgage company failed to send our insurance payment from escrow back in September 2025, which resulted in us receiving a cancellation notice. We immediately contacted Ryan and paid the full year’s premium out of pocket to avoid losing coverage. At that time, he assured us he would submit the necessary information to our mortgage company as our mortgage was sold shortly to another after purchase which Ryan explained to us, so the payment could be processed and we would be reimbursed for the duplicate payment.Unfortunately, that never happened. Now Ryan is back tracking and saying we wouldn’t be reimbursed. Despite multiple requests for clarification, Ryan refused to speak with us by phone and would only respond via email, which made the situation more confusing. I even had a representative from our mortgage company reach out to him directly twice and provided their name and contact information so he could coordinate the reimbursement. He never returned their calls either. When Ryan finally did call us today, he repeatedly spoke over me while I tried to explain the process outlined by our mortgage company, and ultimately hung up on me when I asked him to stop interrupting. To make matters worse, he insisted that reimbursement from the insurance company was not possible based on his “10 to 20 years of experience,” and that only the mortgage company could issue the refund to me directly. However, after speaking directly with my insurance company today (something you would think my insurance agent would do for me to get his commission), the insurance folks were professional and actually willing to help, I was informed that once they receive payment from the mortgage company, they (the insurance company) will in fact reimburse me directly, not my mortgage company like Ryan kept insisting, exactly what I had been trying to explain all along.Overall, this was an incredibly frustrating experience marked by poor communication, lack of follow through, and unprofessional behavior. I strongly recommend using caution if considering this agency and keeping close track of your payments.

    Different Eras, Same Exceptional Service
Farmers not only prides itself on helping you plan wisely for the unexpected, but also on helping restore order when it occurs, so you can keep moving along the road of your life’s plans.
In 1959 a Farmers customer wrote us a letter of surprised gratitude when his car battery was replaced just an hour after it was stolen. A letter from a couple in 2002 wrote that their Farmers agent and Claims Adjuster “were exceptional in their handling of our grief, what we needed to do, and helpful in many other ways.” That same year, when Hurricane Rita struck Beaumont, Texas, Farmers sent 300 agents to assess damages while policy holders were evacuated. Farmers also donated $100,000 for the city’s emergency operations center and two megawatt generators that restored power to Beaumont. Whatever year or decade a disaster occurs, you can count on us to be there for you.
Today, the companies comprising the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies make up one of the country's largest insurers of vehicles, homes and small businesses and provide a wide range of other insurance and financial services products.
Farmers is proud to serve more than 10 million households with more than 19 million individual policies across all 50 states through the efforts of over 48,000 exclusive and independent agents and nearly 21,000 employees.
The Farmers Exchanges are three reciprocal insurers (Farmers Insurance Exchange, Fire Insurance Exchange and Truck Insurance Exchange) owned by their policyholders, and together with their subsidiaries and affiliates comprise the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies. Farmers Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries, in their capacity as attorneys-in-fact, provide administrative and management services to the Farmers Exchanges.
