I initially called FC because I am a 1st time cane user & ordered the wooden handled Bahama Leaf. I love the feel of the wooden handle vs a harder molded handle. My daughter-in-law insisted the handle was 'plastic' so I came home and called FC. James answered. We spoke for a while. (James gets an A++++ for listening. I worked in geriatrics for decades & can tell when I'm being ignored.) He had me laughing when he used an electrical saw to cut into the handle of a defective cane, immediately emailing 2 close-up photos so I could see the wood grain. I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe, lol. I then sent the photo to my daughter-in-law who also got a chuckle. I don't like being treated as if my age (68) equates with diminishing brain cells, which happens more often than not. James did not treat me like I was stupid, which I appreciated. He also explained how the wooden handle was finished to created the smooth feel. Note: I actually purchased more than one cane because I have poor balance. So, I decided why not more than one cane and have some fun? So I am. ;-D
