We used First Choice for several parts of an initial renovation, and I must say the work was brilliant. We had quite a big project, which included a new roof, gutters, new windows and doors, new plumbing, and the removal of a load-bearing wall to open up the kitchen. There were also a few other tasks, such as bricking up a window and removing a chimney stack.Tony, who comes round to do the initial quote, is great—no sales patter, listens to what you need and comes back with a quote. His pricing was spot on, based on the research we had done, so no issues there. Some of the other quotes we received were just daft—people chancing their arm. Also, Tony comes across as the kind of person you’d prefer to give your business to—he clearly knows his stuff, and I instantly felt confident that the job would be done well.The work was completed to an excellent standard, and AJ, the project manager, was there throughout to help. AJ was always available for questions during the project—another top guy.The team they’ve assembled is excellent—polite lads who just get on with the job. Keep them supplied with brews, and they’ll crack on! It was actually a bit sad when they finished, as they were great to have around the house. The roofers were fantastic, and one of our neighbours even commented on how professional they were—there was minimal disturbance.At the end of the project, we decided to get Shane in to do the plumbing, based on how good the rest of the team had been (the price quoted was fair). The work was once again completed to a high standard and done efficiently.I would 100% call Tony and First Choice again for any major work, and I’d recommend them to anyone. Five-star service at fair and competitive prices—what more can you ask for.
