I bought an engagement ring in November 2025. It was a lovely ring and my fiancee loved it. However after a few weeks a diamond came out of it.
We contacted F Hinds in Southampton, where I bought it, as I had taken out insurance and they said to come in with the ring, which I duly did. They said I wouldn't have to claim on the insurance, as it was within the warranty period. They sent it away to be analysed, and a few weeks later, they called me to say that it was determined the ring was 'faulty' and did I want the same ring to replace it. I said I did, and the lady said that they would order one and get back to me. That was over 3 weeks ago!
I popped in to F Hinds Southampton nine days ago, and I was told that it was being sent from another branch.
Today is 27th February 2026, and I still don't have the replacement.
In the meantime, I continue to wait for the ring to be replaced.
If you are reading this I advise you to go elsewhere, as the same thing could happen to you.
