I have been a customer with First Chicago Insurance for 4 years, since I was 18 years old. I maintained a clean driving record the entire time and paid around $250 per month for a 2015 Honda Accord. Over the years, that adds up to roughly $8,000–$10,000.For that amount of money, I expected professionalism and basic communication. Instead, reaching anyone at this company is nearly impossible. Calls go unanswered, messages are not returned, and when you try repeatedly to get assistance, you are ignored.The situation became even worse when my mother (also insured through them) was involved in an accident where she was found NOT at fault. She lost her vehicle and is now dealing with a lawsuit — yet there has been little to no communication or guidance from the company. Repeated attempts to contact them have gone nowhere.Insurance is something you hope you never need — but when you do need it, that’s when the company shows its true colors. Unfortunately, in our experience, this company failed to provide support during the most important moment.I have now switched to a different insurance provider.If you’re considering this company, I strongly recommend researching other options first. Customer service and responsiveness matter — especially when you’re paying thousands of dollars over the years.
