I have just read through the 1 star reviews and have to say it has not been my experience. I have been with FI for over 10 years. I initially deposited £220K then added a another £20K - that's it in terms of payments in. In 2016 I withdrew my tax free lump sum c£112K from my pension pot to put towards a new house. I didn't realise it takes a few weeks to extract the money (they didn't tell me) and it did cause me a little anxiety as it was for the house purchase, but my investment counsellor got things fast tracked so I was happy. My pension pot is now over £800K so you do the math (as they say over the pond). The fund did dive when Mr Putin decided to invade Ukraine but I guess other funds were similarly hit. I don't know what it would be worth now if I had left it with my UK based pension fund (I won't say who in case they sue me), but I am happy with FI. I recommended FI to a friend in the village and he says it was the best thing he has done. Nobody can predict the future but all is good for now. And now to try and mitigate the IHT! Help!
