They hound you to near death. They try different 1 800 numbers, different numbers from different offices. They send e mails and despite’s telling them you’re not interested they keep trying to get you. If they need to do that instead of relying on referrals there is something really wrong with their business.
After having an account for five years, I attempted to add my wife using a power of attorney. I was informed it was possible, but then I received a call stating they were terminating my account without any explanation! This left me in a terrible situation and feeling abandoned when I needed assistance the most.
This company doesnt know how to take NO for an answer, constant phone calls when I had asked to be removed from their list. Today I had call from them, I advised the caller that I had asked not to be called anymore.....he just ignored this and continued with his spiel - Id had enough and hung up on him! Blocked his number (wounder how long before they start using a new number!!!) In short just be very wary about what you supply to them!
Amazing marketing and sales strategies for signing you up. Once you actually invest with them and expect financial performance, they fail to meet expectations. Don't fall for the fiduciary duty and "we only do better when you do better" because it's meaningless.
As with many other reviews, this company does not know how to take no for an answer. Several different calls in a week. One while I was at the airport. I made a zoom appointment. After getting back home and reading reviews and researching their fees I sent an email to cancel my meeting. I asked to be taken off the call and email list. The very next day another phone call asking me why I changed my mind. Not appreciated.
At the moment I am trying to get my money back. I am very disappointed with the result so far and I have done better than them in the past.Unfortunately this is not easy as Raymond James are finding ways to block it. A new issue each day. So don't give them your money.
This company talks down to you. After initial talks you are assigned a person from the USA.This person is very USA oriented and talks very arrogantly using investment buzz words and names of people you don't even know. Not made for people wanting to invest with basic knowledge of investing. You want someone who can get down to the grassroots of investing, be able to come down to the average persons level and teat you with respect. They do none of this so don't waist your time. Stick to grassroots Canadian firms.
We have been with Fisher 7 years now ( based in France) and cannot understand at all how they have accrued such a low rating !?)…. We are ‘medium risk’ with €500,000 invested and expected a return of 10%…. And ( since Covid) it has consistently outperformed that !!… .we are very happy, especially with the constant updates, ease of talking with our advisor, and just in general! We recommend Fisher, as we have done on several occasions to ‘doubters’ pointed in our direction!!
