Ordered a standard cheeseburger with fries and a coke on 22/11/2025, waited for ages while Uber Eats found a new driver. Eventually the order arrived, cold, in an unsealed bag, with no fries. I called Five Guys and was told "Ah yeah, we've had a problem with drivers not showing up, so what probably happened was we were meant to remake the food, but someone forgot to put the fries in and it got picked up anyway. You have to speak to Uber to get your money back, we can't send more food out or do anything about it".So despite them admitting they forgot to include my fries, they were unwilling to help resolve the issue. I essentially spent £24 for a cold burger and a bottle of coke. I did get a £6 refund from Uber Eats, but the point is I didn't get what I paid for initially, and the burger was cold.I have an autoimmune disease and can rarely eat junk food. This was a treat I was affording myself after 8 weeks of sickness and I was so disappointed to the fact it was actually upsetting.Do better Five Guys, you charge too much to offer this kind of service. If you're going to blame the unreliability of third party delivery companies then use your own drivers, you charge enough for your food I'm sure you can afford it.
