I rarely leave negative reviews for businesses, but on this occasion I feel it’s important to share my experience.
My Audi went into Fix Auto Dagenham in December 2024 for insurance repairs following damage to the driver’s side door and the front bumper. The car went into Fix Auto Dagenham with the driver’s side door seal already fitted and in place.
When I received the car back, I immediately noticed that the driver’s side door seal was missing, along with missing screw plugs. Because of this, the door sat almost half an inch further in than it should have, leaving the door visibly misaligned and causing noticeable wind and driving noise while driving the car.
It also became apparent that the bottom part of the driver’s door had not been fitted properly, which caused a rattling noise while driving.
The vehicle then had to go back to Fix Auto Dagenham for remedial work. I received the car back again after they reinstalled the seal, but a couple of weeks later I discovered that rainwater was entering the vehicle through the top and bottom of the door, indicating there were still issues with the repair.
In total, the car had to go back to Fix Auto Dagenham multiple times due to problems with the repair. Eventually, I informed my insurance company, who decided to move the car to a different repair workshop to investigate and resolve the ongoing issues.
The new garage determined that the work carried out by Fix Auto Dagenham on the driver’s door was not up to standard and needed to be redone properly.
A few months later, another issue surfaced when I opened the bonnet to refill the windscreen washer fluid (which sits above the front bumper). As I tried to refill it, the liquid immediately poured out from underneath the bumper instead of going into the system, indicating a fault with the installation.
At the same time, I also had issues with the driver’s side mirror not heating. When the vehicle went back into the new repairer, they investigated both the washer fluid issue and the mirror at the same time. They discovered that the mirror problem was due to poorly completed electrical work inside the driver’s door.
This meant the car had to go in for further repairs and replacement parts, which took a considerable amount of time.
While addressing these issues, the garage also inspected the front bumper work previously carried out by Fix Auto Dagenham and found that it too was not up to the required standard.
As a result, both the driver’s door repairs and the front bumper work originally carried out by Fix Auto Dagenham had to be completely redone by the new repairer.
It is now March 2026 and I am only just getting my car back after the second repairer had to redo all of the work. Overall, the initial repair carried out by Fix Auto Dagenham was clearly not up to standard and resulted in significant inconvenience, multiple return visits, and a very long delay in properly resolving the damage to my vehicle.
