Review Time
I tried this car lease website while searching for an affordable vehicle option. The website layout is easy to use and I found some decent deals available. However, the response time from support was a bit slow and some details about pricing were not very clear at first. The process was okay overall, but I feel there is room for improvement in communication and transparency.
This has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences I've had in years. After being a loyal customer for over a year, I found myself in an accident that damaged my front bumper. Just two days later, I received a bill for $2,000. While that amount is steep, I was prepared to accept it as part of the business. However, the way it was handled afterward was unacceptable. I was informed that the full $2,000 needed to be paid before I could switch to another vehicle. Like many, I don’t have that amount readily available. They proposed a 'payment plan' of $500 per week, which I could manage. But here's where it becomes unreasonable: they demanded the car back within a week while refusing to allow me to switch vehicles until the full amount was settled. So, to clarify: the company expects you to pay a significant damage bill quickly, and even if you agree to their payment plan, they take away your means of transportation, leaving you stranded until everything is paid off. This might seem reasonable from a corporate perspective, but in reality, a car is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. People require a vehicle to commute, maintain their jobs, run errands, and function daily. The company’s policy doesn't just cause inconvenience; it creates financial stress and a significant burden that can escalate quickly, especially after an accident. To add to the frustration, the customer support was often unhelpful. Many agents seemed unsure of how to address the situation. I had to call multiple times just to obtain basic information or a satisfactory answer. This is not support; it feels like a customer doing the company's work. The company promotes itself as flexible and customer-friendly, but my experience has been quite the opposite: inflexible, punitive, and indifferent when customers are in need. I will definitely consider switching to a competitor as soon as the opportunity arises.
Extremely disappointing experience with the support team. I couldn't create an account successfully. I reached out to the support team three times and spoke with three different representatives, none of whom were able to assist me and seemed reluctant to help me set up an account. I wouldn't recommend this service as it ended up being a waste of my time.
They're safe driving program is a scam I've been driving for almost 40 years I live near Boston and have told them repeatedly to stop.My driving record is clean I've never had an accident or a ticket yet somehow they believe they're safe driving program is excellent. It's based on the car I haven't even driven for 5 days and it went down two points. If they don't deal with this I'll take it to the better Business bureau but I recommend you avoid this company till they address this issue
I WISH I could leave Flexcar an excellent review. I've loved everything about my Flexcar—except for the safe driving score. My “safe driving” score dropped by several points because I braked hard to avoid hitting a child who bolted into the street. There was no way to foresee this. I can’t believe that in that split second, I had to choose between protecting my score and protecting a life. You should never have to choose between keeping your score up and keeping someone alive.Flexcar claims it started this program to incentivize safe driving, but as my story proves, it actually incentivizes unsafe behavior. Ridiculous and disgusting.
They are full of gimmicks. That's their business model. They had a summer fee of $399 in the summer months, which they claimed to be refunded if I kept the car for 4 months. I returned my car after 4 months, but they didn't return the $399. They just put a $399 credit for the next time I book with them. All my emails to them didn't help. They keep on refusing to refund it.
Very bad experience. It is all financial , first the membership has to be paid 2 weeks after you lease the vechicle which was not told to me. When I asked for a extension they said no ! Next when your payment is due you never know how much it could be. The taxes are not added until the day 5hey are processing your payment. Not happy with this company at all !
