Awful experience with Flight Centre. Good company until something goes wrong. I booked a trip to Bali, paid almost $2000 (for flights and accommodation) for a week which was a great deal at the time. Unfortunately, the hotel I booked got flooded during the heavy rain of February. As I could see it wasn't getting better, I called to verify what options I had. I was told I could get the hotel money back (in 20 business days!), but there was no way to cancel and rebook somewhere else without paying half the trip in cancellation fees! On top of that, when I called to cancel the hotel after all, I had to argue with the person on the line because they kept telling me I was only getting $200 back for the hotel instead of $420. It took 15 minutes of back and forth and being put on hold multiple times before they finally confirmed that they made a mistake and they would be refunding me $420 within 20 business days... I don't intend on booking with them again, such a hassle and to realize I paid $1500 in Airfare to Bali when I can find the same tickets online for the same flight for half the price. Complete rip off.
