I booked a return flight for my mother to spend 2 months in the UK. When she got here, her passport was stamped for 6 months. I rang the consultant Sean, to extend her ticket for the 6 months. On top of the £1200 + I had already paid , he requested another £600+, I told him it would be cheaper if I just buy a return ticket directly through the airline, he then reduced the amount to £300+ pounds just to extend the flight date. Few days before my mum returned I decided to call to confirm her flight and to check in online, only to discover no flight was booked. I was told by flight guru that BA had overbooked on the flight and there were no more seats, but if I paid another £600 my mother can get on the other available flight. I was given a date that would cause my mother to overstay her time. I rang BA and had to pay another £500 to get my mother on the same flight I was told is overbooked. Since February 2024 I have been chasing a refund with no avail. I am at the point of seeking legal advice to reclaim my hard earned money. I would advise , please, please do not use flight guru.
