Flint Bishop took on a case from Octopus Energy without carrying out even the most basic due diligence. Octopus Energy decided that because my company shares a PO Box address with countless others, they could randomly assign debts from entirely unrelated companies to mine.
This false information was then passed to Flint Bishop, who repeated the same failure. A simple check on Companies House would have shown that no person connected to my company has any link whatsoever to the company they are attempting to pursue. Instead, they chose to harass a completely unrelated business rather than verify their facts.
Anyone else having similar issues, complain to the FCA. Search FCA Contact as a consumer, and your query is Consumer Credit > Debt Recovery.
Also make a complaint to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Once again! I left a negative review on a feedback platform. Received the standard response: 'We sincerely apologize and understand how upsetting this is. Please contact us at this email, and we will investigate it, etc.' So, I followed up with my previous email, asking them to resolve the issue. No response. After waiting over 8 weeks, I received another letter with the same generic message, and now they are adding interest! So, I must say, it's not distressing at all. It seems like incompetence or perhaps a conflict of interest. Only they know the truth. Please do not respond here; instead, reply to my emails.
DONT TRUST THIS FLINT BISHOP THEY DEMANDING MONEY FROM MY TWO SICK PARENTS one has Parkinson and copd and my dad has heart problems and fits, THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHAMED OF THEM selfs, don't help u out, just waste time this company going to take my folks dreams and memories way and where my folks want died in that house we all lived there over 40+ years, this company like many others should be shut down so can't hurt anyone else break up family's and homes love ones just before bloody Christmas and u haven't got heart, I am sorry but I thought scrooge was bad guy but at Christmas be no happy merry Christmas for me and my family

My house sale was dealt with very professionally. The conveyance team was easy to get hold of whenever necessary. I was not always able to print off some reports but they were then sent by post. GPO were frequently very tardy in delivering items but then Flint Bishop sent them by signed delivery which waxs helpful

'Very sorry and we understand how distressing this is and please do contract us at this email address and we will look into it blah blah blah".So I did re-email the previous email and asked them to sort it out. No reply.Didn't hear from them for over 8 weeks and then another letter in the post saying the same stuff and now they are adding interest!So, sorry Flint Bishop, its not distressing in the slightest. you are just incompetent or you have your noses in the British Gas trough!Only you know which it is?Don't reply to this, reply to my emails.
These buffoons were instructed by British Gas to recover a debt from me which is the subject of a complaint which first started on December 13th 2023. I took it to the Energy Ombudsman and won my case however British Gas lied about having followed the directions and about whether my smart meter is even working so this is very much a live complaint as they have continued the same behaviour despite the Ombudsman's findings that they were in the wrong. This is now waiting for the final response letter from British Gas so it can be referred back to the Ombudsman.These clowns have been worse than useless. They have been repeatedly passed the information including the fact that there is actually a direct debit set up for me to pay my energy bills and British Gas are failing to take any payments. Flint Bishop have reported these as 'missed payments' and have damaged my credit file.They have harassed me by letters in the post and emails which have included threats of legal action. I have repeatedly told them they need to go back to their client and tell them to deal with the complaint so the matter can be resolved, Flint Bishop then come back with more threats, have called me a liar and on occasion gave me a deadline to respond by which was in August when it was October. They have no clue what they are doing, I don't believe any of the people I have dealt with are solicitors or have any legal training as when asked they described themselves as 'agents'.They have now for the second time told me they are no longer acting for British Gas however it won't be long before they make contact and we are back to square one of the demanding I contact them or they will take legal action, I go back and outline the issues and tell them their client needs to issue the final response letter and then they message me again demanding I make contact or they will take legal action. It is a neverending circle as they have done nothing to promote this getting resolved and yet hound me making threats they don't then carry out and when challenged their debt recoveries department wont allow you to make a complaint about their bully boy tactics.If British Gas had instructed a decent company this complaint would not be approaching it's second birthday.Flint Bishop have achieved nothing and their tactics are those of a bully who is all talk and no action. It is well known how incompetent British Gas are and Flint Bishop are a bunch of incompetent wannabes who cannot even work out the months of the year and are happy to harass people without carrying out any due dilegence on if their actions have any merit.Total scumFurther edit in response to the response from Flint Bishop....I made a complaint to you about your conduct to debtrecovery solutions and you refused to deal with it which is why I wrote this response as you have no desire to do better.If this review helps one person feels less victimised by your lack of professionalism and false allegations it has served it purposeYou achieved nothing other than bullying and harassing someone based on no evidence and did not carry out due dillegence as a legal professional should Disgraceful
