My experience with Flow Research Collective was unpleasant. I usually refrain from writing poor reviews but I felt compelled to speak up in the hopes my actions could protect other people from being fleeced. When I pay for a high-end education and the privilege of being part of an elite community, I expect professionalism. One coach, Marcus Lefton, made fun of me in front of the other group participants. In the middle of the course they announced their organization was moving away from coaching. I was promised lifetime access to an elite community. Nobody makes a 180 that quickly. They knew they were making promises they weren’t going to keep. They changed the name of the course TWICE and kept reorganizing the structure.I paid another huge sum to attend a live training with Steven Kotler. I had to struggle to avoid the pot smoke issuing from his inner circle “boy’s club”. Then I heard him going on and on about researching the effects of weed on flow states during a zoom. It galls me to think my money would be spent researching how getting high helps people cheat instead of building real creative muscle. My friend who participated in their course said Marcus kept emailing her. She is well connected and successful. The fact that he kept trying to buddy up to her screams sleazy cash grab. I had to beat down doors to get support. When I asked for a refund, Marcus told me that he couldn’t give me a refund. Then in the same call, he told me he could give me a refund and he wasn’t going to because he didn’t like me. Then he said that he was one of 5 people who could give me a refund and they all had to agree. Watching him dance around the issue was the same sort of confusing mess the entire class was. What are we doing? “High Flow Coaching”? Oh wait, no, it’s now called “PNCC”. No wait, we’re calling the course “Catalyst”. They had the gall to offer me a 30 minute call with Steven Kotler and a 30 minute call with Rian Doris as opposed to a refund. Like we should all just be so happy to hang out with these “cool guys” that we should pay them $10,000 for the privilege of doing so. Unfortunately, their “generous” offer only confirms my opinion about the company.
