I love my local Food Lion Longwood Ave. Bedford. I never write reviews unless it’s something really bad. This is more of a suggestion statement. The 8 piece fried chicken box is probably the worst I’ve eaten. I tried it several times thinking it’s just an employee who left it too long in the fryer but it’s always the same, hard and overcooked. Walmart use to be the same way but they must have gotten word that how bad it was and found what Kroger does and changed it. Now it’s a good as Kroger which is the best grocery store chicken I’ve found. You guys hardly ever had the 8 piece box out for sale I asked the deli people why, they said corporate won’t let us fry but a few chickens so we’re always out. Ok so I asked Walmart how many boxes they put out daily they said 48.
If you change your recipe and start frying more you might see sales go up I’d certainly buy it from my favorite Food Lion. BYW the Bedford store is always clean and manager is up working around the front always greats customers, and he’s always working in the isles asking if customers need help, As a business owner myself I’m impressed. I’ve never had a bad experience there not once and trust me we shop there 2 to 3 times a week.
