I received a gift (t-shirt) from my in-laws and it was too large. Rather than inconvenience my in-laws, I attempted to call and arrange an exchange. First, the website does not account for gift exchanges where information they require is not in your hands nor do you want to bother someone who was kind enough to send you the gift. Second, when you call, you only have one option, inconvenience the person who gave you the gift because they have to receive the refund and complete the purchase again. Not the most polite or best way to make the experience seamless. How about with the gift in hand, package contents and all, I receive a return label, ship back and receive the appropriate size. Simple and easy but not an option. This is why Amazon wins - customer experience first. End result: I’m stuck with a gift that I Iove, can’t wear and Fanatics simply has no option that is convenient and easy to address the gift exchange.
