I initially signed up to do an online course with FE. However I never had the chance to even start the course due life events etc. I paid about $600 for them to stop calling and asking me to pay. Then this is where it got bad. The team member from the finance department became quite rude and demanding. She would call 4-5 times in a row and then send me emails demanding I pay. I had not even started course mind you. Eventually I had enough and thought right this needs to stop. So after lots of back and forth emailing I put in an appeal and they finally approved it. So I was able to do withdraw from the course with no further payments required. I had to unfortunately threaten them that I would need to take them to court and contact the ombudsman. There responses where that because I initiated the course I was liable for the costs. My response to them was simply this. Yes I initiated it but I haven't even started it and I'm asking to withdraw from the course and your trying to charge me for a service which I didn't receive. Educational tip. Never pay for anything if you have actually received anything for it or out of it. In this case a certificate. I was lucky because I wasn't an idiot and kept my guard strong. Some people unfortunately are and have been sucked in and taken to dept collectors etc. Please be careful is all I'm saying
