The conversation was clear and helpful. The staff explained whether the Certificate III was already available and answered my questions politely. I appreciated the quick response.
I'm 18 and just out of school. Foundation Education's sales rep Joyce, misled me during enrollment about the course requirements.
What Joyce DIDN'T tell me:
The course requires 160 hours of UNPAID work placement
Placements are full work days at childcare centres
Can't be done "after work" like I specifically said I'd do
She kept me on the phone during the entire enrollment - even while signing the contract. I felt pressured to sign quickly while she waited.
Her email said "160 hours of practical assessment work," but NEVER said UNPAID.
When I discovered the truth (18 days later), I emailed to cancel within 3 days.
Foundation Education:
Ignored my cancellation email for over 2 months
Told me cooling-off is "5 days" (it's legally 10 business days - they lied TWICE in writing)
Kept claiming it's about "financial hardship" when it's about being MISLED
I tried to cancel on 2 October. They finally acknowledged it today - 5+ months later.
AVOID Foundation Education. They use high-pressure phone tactics, don't disclose unpaid placement clearly, and ignore cancellations.
Foundation education was easy to talk to and very helpful with my allied health course. Marc on the student team helped me quickly and efficiently! They were very easy to talk with!
Samuel was very efficient and knowledgeable during the chat process. Furthermore, he was incredibly helpful in addressing my needs and resolved my problem very quickly. I truly appreciated his assistance.
I recently spoke with Francis from Foundation Education and he was absolutely wonderful to deal with. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to clearly explain everything to me. Francis answered all of my questions patiently and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.
I truly appreciated his support and excellent customer service. Thank you, Francis, for your 5-star assistance!
The personal trainer I worked with is truly outstanding. He has imparted a wealth of knowledge during my course, and I wholeheartedly recommend him. He's approachable, intelligent, and a great conversationalist. If you reach out to him, you'll understand why he's considered the best.
A complete scam! Avoid enrolling with them; they will take your money and provide minimal assistance. I'm spending a significant amount on a course I could have done for free. They pressure you over the phone until you relent. This is the biggest regret of my 20s. Save your money and spare yourself the hassle.
While the staff are friendly, the business model relies on deception and scamming. The learning modules contain broken links, and it takes ages to get the Knowledge Questions marked. There are hidden fees in the certificate, like the omitted First Aid certificate. The sales team constantly pressures you about extensions. I've heard of threats of lawsuits against those who requested refunds in a timely manner, leading many to pay the exorbitant fees. If you doubt me, check online; many have shared similar experiences. It's appalling. Don't be swayed by positive reviews; trust your instincts and look elsewhere.
