The Blaenavon Christmas Steam Train was well organized, and my three-year-old grandson enjoyed it. However, from an adult perspective, it felt overpriced for the experience. I chose the last trip of the day expecting illuminated carriages, but they were not lit, leading to a dull experience. The gifts of a bear and a book were well received, as was the gingerbread biscuit and drink. However, the one mince pie for adults felt stingy. Next year, I plan to invest in a light trail experience and visit Santa separately.
