We attended a holiday train event in Blaenavon yesterday, and it was quite underwhelming. We traveled back and forth between closely spaced stations and spent more time stopped than actually moving. The carriages were cold and dim, lacking any festive lights or music. Additionally, we were the last to meet both Mrs. Claus and Santa, making those interactions feel very rushed, with Santa even glancing at his watch as other guests departed. I can only give two stars because our toddler didn't notice and enjoyed her biscuit and gift from Santa. I would strongly suggest looking for alternatives! Overall, it was quite disappointing given the ticket prices.
