The company can improve by closing down and simply allowing us to book our own hotels and activities. We have a voucher for a hotel which no longer exists and Smartbox have just offered us the same voucher for the same hotel. When we wrote to them (several times) it was apparent that we are receiving useless messages which are either standard replies or (worse) automatically generated without customer service intervention. They refuse to refund money for a service that they sold to us and now cannot provide. Neither can we reconfigure in a way that provides a similar service without paying a lot extra.Hotels we spoke to also refuse to accept a Smartbox booking during any popular periods. Our only response is to let Smartbox know that we have told our network of generous friends and family about our experiences and have asked them NEVER TO OFFER US A SMARTBOX VOUCHER AGAIN as it has cost us as much to try and make it work as the amount of the voucher. But I guess that’s the point We will also seek out social media outlets to share our experiences
