I took a canvas into the Greenwich Village location on a Friday morning to be outfitted with a floater frame and by the following Wednesday, I received an email, that my canvas was "skewed/bowed" and work could not be completed unless I opt for a frame change or "un-stretch and re-stretch" the artwork. My artwork was not skewed or bowed! My reply was of disbelief and I asked to have the canvas returned immediately as I needed it for an upcoming exhibition. I was told it would be returned "ASAP" and a refund was issued. The return was anything but "ASAP"; after multiple calls to the store and email follow ups with customer service reps, telling me my artwork is on it's way, my canvas was returned from their New Jersey factory location, to the Bank Street store, an entire week later. And to top it off, the painting was returned to me without it's original back wiring.
