I’ve been on the phone many times this week to FreeAgent and spoken to some very helpful colleagues. However, I still have two serious outstanding issues.

Number 1. I cannot get FreeAgent favourite to sync with the HMRC to send my Q4 update and my end of year update. So that kind of makes the whole thing completely pointless doesn’t it.

I have spoken to HMRC and they have said this is free agents issues and I have spoken to FreeAgent and they said it’s HMRC issue. I’m getting exasperated and completely frustrated to the point of giving up with FreeAgent and going with someone else.

Number 2. There has always been an issue with me connecting my Mettle banking app to FreeAgent. I can get it to move across transactions. But there is a section where it’s supposed to show me how much tax I am due to pay and this is missing. FreeAgent have said that this is an issue that they support team and tech support need to look at. But it’s been weeks and all they keep saying is they’re working on it.

With these two combined, it is not really given me a very good service at the moment. I am so close to switching to another MTD provider but I really don’t want to as I do like the FreeAgent software and their support staff are excellent and friendly and helpful as you could possibly want them to be. It’s just no one seems to be able to fix the issue.
