I wasn't using FreeAgent, as it did not support cash basis in the past, but as soon as I learnt it was, I wanted to move across. I'd had an account in the past but I was having problems logging in. FreeAgent support helped very quickly to get me up and running again.

A Great Choice for Non-Finance Professionals

I consider myself reasonably savvy in IT and business, but I don't have a finance background. When I was approached to become the Treasurer of a charitable organization, I felt a bit uncertain. However, I was relieved to find out that the organization was adopting a well-regarded accounting tool. The software is fairly intuitive, allowing me to quickly learn the basics. Whenever I encountered issues, the support provided by the service has been exceptional. From my first interaction with an automated assistant, which I believe is top-notch, to online chats and dedicated email correspondence, the support team has been outstanding and never condescending about my limited finance knowledge. I now approach my responsibilities with greater confidence, knowing that the support will assist me with any questions, no matter how minor they may seem to a finance expert. I highly recommend this service.

Excellent Assistance During Migration from Another System

Frustrating Experience with Integrations and Support

The tool relies heavily on integrations, which often fail to work properly. The main feature is connecting bank accounts, and if this fails, other tools might be a better option. Unfortunately, these integrations frequently encounter issues, and support is lacking. They often deflect responsibility, directing users to external resources instead of addressing the problem directly. This should be their responsibility. Customer support also struggles to address issues effectively, often responding with irrelevant information. If you have an ongoing issue, they treat each message as a new case, leading to repetitive mistakes. Moreover, their support articles are outdated and refer to features that no longer exist.

Top-Notch Accounting Software

I honestly can't understand why anyone would rate this accounting software below five stars! I've been using it for over a decade as a sole trader for filing taxes. They've recently added support for contractors and are up-to-date with new regulations. Plus, it's free for certain account holders, which seems like an obvious choice!

Early Submission of Year-End Accounts

This intuitive system has streamlined my bookkeeping and accounting, preparing me for upcoming requirements while allowing me to accept card payments for invoices. After a few months of transactions, I found it so easy that I decided to backtrack for another year to use it for my previous accounts. I've never submitted early before, but I did this time! I would love to see more AI features developed for capturing information.
